Kids at Home

Children at home with an early start to school holidays?

… also have some ripe Bananas looking sad on the kitchen counter?

With a few pantry staples like gluten free plain flour (plain flour also works), eggs, and honey you can have delicious bread in just over an hour.

This easy one bowl banana bread is great for home baking with children or teenagers  (maths, reading and instructions lessons rolled into one). Practise hand-washing before you start this activity to help “flatten the curve”.

We baked them in mini loaf tins for portion controlled and freezing. Delicious baking improvising when self isolating.

The recipe is by Half Baked Harvest. Original recipe is downloadable at her link.

We substituted coconut oil with our Frantoio EVOO (60ml) and used White Wings gluten free all purpose flour (it was the “unloved” flour on the shelf).
