If you like your granola toasty, we have a handy breakfast bar
We toast the oats with EVOO first and add in the nuts and fruits mixture afterwards. Toasting deepen the flavour of oats. The oat and nut mixture is baked with honey and brown sugar in a baking pan. Then cut into handy bars. Vanilla extracts and freshly ground cinnamon is also added to amped up the aroma of the granola bars. (Hint. For the bars to hold their shape , the oat mixture is compressed firmly into a rimmed baking pan with an “oiled” metal spatula – the honey and brown sugar act as “glue” for the bars).
